Toronto Ideological Training Debrief

April 11, 2010

TORONTO- On February 6, 2010 OPCCA held its first ever Ideological Training Session in Toronto at the University of Toronto.

The goal of these sessions is to remind our members what it means to be conservative, and to take the time to remember that there is more to the conservative movement than coming out on top on Election Day.

The Toronto session featured academics Dr. Loren King of Wilfrid Laurier University, Dr. George Bragues of the University of Guelph Humber, and the former Minister of Education for Ontario John Snobelen.

Each presenter spoke on one of the three core themes covered: political theory, economics, and political rights and values.

I would like to thank the U of T Conservatives and President Brittany D’Arcy for hosting this event, and hope everyone present had the chance to learn more about our conservative roots.

I know we will have an equally good turnout at the University of Ottawa on February 27, 2010 for our second session featuring MP Scott Reid.
