Stop The DST
Just when we thought Dalton McGuinty couldn’t make things any harder for Ontario students, he is going to hike your taxes again with the DST, the ‘Dalton Sales Tax.’
The Dalton Sales Tax means an extra 8% tax on dozens of items. It will hurt Ontario students when they can least afford it. But what does the DST mean to you?
It will cost more for your internet and cell phone.
It will cost you more for meals under $4.
It will cost you more to get your hair cut.
And it will cost you more to take a plane, train or bus home during the holidays.
Dalton McGuinty has stuck his hand into the pocket of students deep enough and his latest tax grab needs to be stopped. Ontario students deserve a tax break, not a tax hike.
